Meek Meet is not an organisation. It is a movement of gentle hearts. We are the ones who have been overlooked, the ones who serve in silence, the ones who believe that love — not loudness — changes the world.
Before we speak, we listen. Before we lead, we serve. Every concern shared in our circle is held with tenderness and respect.
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen. — James 1:19
No hierarchy, no performance. Just ordinary people coming together in parks and halls, sharing bread and burdens alike.
How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity! — Psalm 133:1
Your concerns become data. Your hopes become evidence. We transform quiet prayers into powerful, measurable calls for change.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. — Proverbs 31:8
Month by month, new moon by new moon, we plant seeds of justice in our neighborhoods and watch them bear fruit.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord. — Isaiah 61:3
Meek Meet is more than meetings. It is a divine invitation made practical. When the gentle come together with purpose and faith, they do not merely inherit the earth — they heal it.
Every voice matters. We gather concerns, dreams, and lived experiences through gentle conversations and thoughtful questions.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. — Psalm 34:18
Data becomes dignity. We transform quiet stories into powerful evidence, presenting them to those who can make change happen.
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. — Isaiah 1:17
The overlooked find their voice here. We create safe spaces where the gentlest among us speak with confidence and hope.
He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap. — Psalm 113:7
Catholic, Protestant, Jehovah's Witness, Orthodox — all who hold the Bible dear find common ground in loving their neighbour.
There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism. — Ephesians 4:4-5
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me... to preach good news to the poor.”
— Isaiah 61:1
From one person's courage to a movement that reshapes neighbourhoods. This is the gentle path from faith to action.
Someone in a suburb, town, or city feels the call. They register their heart for their community and become a shepherd of a local Meek Meet.
Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. — Matthew 20:26
A park bench, a church hall, a community centre — somewhere warm and welcoming where anyone can find a seat and be heard.
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. — Matthew 18:20
Meek Meet calculates the next new moon for that place. The date arrives like a gentle promise. The community prepares their hearts.
He made the moon to mark the seasons. — Psalm 104:19
On the night of the new moon, when the sky is darkest, our small lights shine brightest. Stories are shared. Tears are welcomed. Hope is kindled.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. — John 1:5
Through the Meek Meet app, participants share their concerns about community, housing, environment, and life. Every answer is a prayer counted.
You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle. — Psalm 56:8
The data becomes a story too loud to ignore. Reports reach councils, leaders, and decision-makers. The meek do not shout — they prove.
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move.' — Matthew 17:20
The meek are precious — and protecting them is sacred work. Every Meek Meet leader must meet strict verification standards before they ever welcome a single soul.
No exceptions. No shortcuts.
If a leader cannot provide all four verifications, they cannot lead a Meek Meet. This policy exists because the people who come to us — the quiet, the overlooked, the vulnerable — deserve nothing less than complete confidence in their shepherd.
Every leader submits government-issued photo ID. We confirm name, address, and identity before anyone is approved.
The meek must know exactly who is shepherding them.
A current, valid WWCC (or equivalent interstate check) is mandatory. We verify the certificate number and expiry directly.
Children are the most vulnerable among us. This is non-negotiable.
A police check issued within the last 12 months, clear of serious criminal offences. We do not accept expired or incomplete checks.
The past matters when people are placing their trust in you.
A current first aid certificate (HLTAID011 or equivalent). Emergencies do not wait. Someone at every meet must be prepared.
To love your neighbour includes being ready when they are hurt.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
— Matthew 15:14
We take this warning seriously. Leadership is not a title — it is a trust. And trust must be earned, verified, and protected.
